Kathleen (Schmersal) Hittle, 80, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born July 17, 1944, in Lima, OH, to Eugene and Dorothy (Wright) Schmersal. They both preceded her in death.
Kathleen is survived by children, Daniel (Karen) Hittle and Linda (P.J.) Johnson both of Spencerville, David Hittle of St. Marys, and Andrew (Mary) Hittle of Glasgow, KY; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and her children's father, Gary L. Hittle of Celina.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her brothers, William Schmersal and Thomas "Tucker" Schmersal; and sister, Joyce Noonan.
Kathleen was a homemaker and also worked for the Allen County Juvenile Court for many years until her retirement. She was active in the Spencerville VFW Ladies Auxiliary serving for over 12 years as Treasurer. In her spare time, Kathleen enjoyed reading, spending time with family, crocheting, and traveling; especially her trip to Italy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m.
